What is Earth Day?

Every year on April 22nd, the world celebrates Earth Day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about environmental protection and inspire people to take action to protect our planet. Earth Day was initiated by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 to draw attention to environmental pollution and ecological destruction, and to promote environmental activism.

Since then, Earth Day has become a global holiday, with millions of people participating in various environmental activities each year, from beach clean-ups to tree planting, and from advocating for energy conservation to promoting renewable energy. This day reminds us that each of us has a responsibility to the future of the Earth and must take action to protect our planet.

Did You Know that Marine Organism Is Disappearing?

In recent years, the quantity and diversity of marine life have faced severe challenges. Due to human activities such as overfishing, marine pollution, and habitat destruction, many marine species are facing a survival crisis. These phenomena have raised global concerns and sparked worries about the future of marine ecosystems.

Marine life is crucial for maintaining marine ecological balance and ensuring the stability of marine ecosystems. They not only provide food and resources but also play a key role in maintaining atmospheric climate balance, such as marine plants absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Similarly, some marine organisms like coral reefs can mitigate the impact of hurricanes and tsunamis on coastal areas. However, as marine life disappears, the functions of these ecosystems are compromised, posing a threat to global climate stability.

The disappearance of marine organisms will have profound effects on the entire Earth's ecosystem, threatening human health and survival. Therefore, urgent action is needed to protect marine organisms, maintain marine ecological balance, and ensure the continued prosperity and development of our Earth and all its inhabitants

SINOX Responds to Environmental Protection and Loves the Earth

It is suitable for various types of bags with zippers as well as suitcases and more, SINOX deeply understands that caring for the Earth is our responsibility and a commitment to future generations. Therefore, we actively participate in Earth Day celebrations and express our support for environmental causes through various actions.

This year marks the 54th anniversary of Earth Day, with the theme "Planet vs. Plastics", which emphasizes reducing plastic usage. In response, we have organized the Million Green Action, one of our company's key environmental initiatives.

The Million Green Action aims to respond to the call of Earth Day by advocating actions in four categories: reduce plastic, reduce carbon, save, and educate. It aims to transform environmental protection from ideology into concrete actions, encouraging more people to join the ranks of Earth protection.

On this special day, all SINOX employees actively participated in the Million Green Action, responding to the call of Earth Day. Whether as "plastic reduction ambassadors," "carbon reduction ambassadors," or "savers ambassadors" and "knowledge ambassadors," each employee contributed their efforts to the future of the Earth. The successful completion of this activity was due to the enthusiastic participation and efforts of everyone.

Our Million Green Action is not just a one-time event but a long-term plan. We will regularly organize various environmental-themed activities, including beach clean-ups and the promotion of environmentally friendly energy-saving products, providing employees with more opportunities to participate in environmental actions, experience the joy of environmental protection, and integrate environmental concepts into their daily lives.

From Advocacy to Practice in Daily Life

In addition, we encourage employees to participate in Earth-friendly activities and advocate for ESG-related information weekly, raising awareness and concern among employees for environmental issues. We believe that through education and promotion, we can inspire more people to embrace environmental consciousness and drive the implementation of environmental actions.
