What is PCR material? Is a lock made of PCR material safe?

What is PCR material?

PCR material refers to Post-Consumer Recycled material, which is plastic that has been recycled after being used by consumers. After being collected and processed, these discarded plastics are turned into recycled pellets, which are then used to manufacture new packaging materials, furniture, building materials, and more.

What are the benefits of using PCR materials in product manufacturing?

Products made from PCR materials offer three key advantages, commonly referred to as the "three reductions". Firstly, they reduce reliance on natural resources by decreasing the demand for virgin plastic materials, thereby alleviating pressure on finite natural resources. Secondly, they reduce landfill waste, mitigating negative environmental impacts. Lastly, they lower energy consumption; the energy required to produce PCR materials is less than that needed in the production of virgin plastics, aiding in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, it is an environmentally friendly and sustainable practice.

Is PCR material just a futuristic concept? Not at all.

In the past, many may have viewed PCR materials as a futuristic concept, believing that while they are environmentally friendly, there are still many limitations in their practical application. However, this is not the case. With advancements in technology and increased environmental awareness, more and more companies and consumers are beginning to recognize the importance of using PCR materials in manufacturing products. Today, the manufacturing process of PCR materials has become quite stable. Even for locks made from green materials, we require them to pass repeated testing in the laboratory to ensure that the strength and other sturdy conditions of the locks are equal to those of new material products before delivery. It is worth mentioning that the green products currently launched by SINOX have not significantly increased in customization costs.
